Vocal Lessons

Are you straining for the high notes?

Do you run out of breath when you sing?

Are you unsure of how to scream in a safe and sustainable way?

Do you want to be more confident on stage?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, I can help! I now offer vocal lessons both online via Zoom and in-person at Beach Road Studios in Goderich, Ontario.

I also have limited in-person teaching days in Toronto!

Harley Olivia has over 15 years experience as a singer/songwriter, and is a graduate of Humber College’s Theatre Performance Program. It was at Humber where she expanded her knowledge of the breath, voice and vocal health. After graduation, She continued her voice studies as an apprentice to contemporary opera legend and author; Fides Krucker. She has also studied harsh vocals with Mary Z of Voice Hacks.

Harley now divides her time between being a voice teacher and a performer. When she isn't singing, she gives seminars on the subject of Voice Science and Songwriting at music festivals such as Gussapolooza in Cookstown, ON, and to the students of OIART (Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology) in London, ON.

"Harley absolutely rules! I couldn’t sing. At all. Like, they’d wait until I was in the bathroom to sing Happy Birthday, bad. But then I came to Harley. I had the silly idea of writing a rock opera and desperately needed help. The amount of breakthroughs I’ve had in such a short time has been incredible! Unbelievable even! Her techniques, the knowledge, and ability to adapt to what I’m working towards has made the process so much fun and I’m actually able to sing. REALLY SING! I couldn’t be happier. Anyone wanting to start or improve their singing should 100000000% work with Harley!"

~ Steve Goodtime (Multi-talented Performer seen on America's Got Talent and Canada's Got Talent)

"Awesome vocal coach. She makes the atmosphere feel comfortable during lessons to help feel relaxed and loosen any tension, which is great for me. She brings me out of my shell. I’ve been trying to find more power and less tension in my voice. And Harley has power, and tries multiple techniques to bring out the power in your voice that works best for you. She’s extremely educated on the voice, how it works inside your throat, describes what is happening within your entire body, and how to work with different emotions to bring your performance to its highest. She gives you confidence, motivation, and encouragement to keep thriving. She’s absolutely amazing, honoured to be a student!"

~ Sara Clark (Lead singer of Across Waves)

"Harley Olivia was recommended to me by a friend after wanting to get some help conquering my stage fright and build confidence with my singing. Working with her has been such a blast and not only has she made me feel like I could perform like a rock star but she has also challenged me in reaching my goals vocally, mentally and physically.  Her knowledge of the art has really improved my singing in ways I couldn't of even imagined and I feel blessed to be able to work with such an amazing talent. Thanks Harley!!"

~ Crystal B.

"I've never taken a vocal lesson in my life so when my band was recording our album, Harley was at the studio. She provided countless tips, the same ones pros use, and took me through a full vocal warm up. All I can say is WOW. With the easy techniques I learned I was finding both power and range with way less effort and I was able to hold notes for much, much longer. Harley is professional, has a career worth of experience and carried a calmness that allowed me to relax and drink in the knowledge."
~ Justin Koetsier (Lead Singer of Stereo Sunrise)

“I have been working with Harley for a little over a month now. My vocal range and ability to hit notes I struggled with have improved 100%. Not only have I learnt how to reach certain notes but I also have the understanding of vocal mechanics behind it. I would recommend her to anyone that is serious about their vocal ability. Total pro and I am so happy to have been connected with her. “

~ Jason Hall (Lead singer of East of Nowhere)
